03/11/2010 - Cleveland, OH (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - LeBron James will likely return to the court when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
James missed a loss to the Bucks last Saturday and a win over the Spurs on Monday in an effort to rest a twisted right ankle he suffered against Detroit on March 5th.
"I'm always a guy who wants to play every game, but I think now looking back it was definitely the right decision to [get] some rest," James said Thursday after practice. "It's not often you can look in the schedule and get a week off and only miss two games, so we took advantage of it."
The reigning league MVP and front-runner for the award this year leads all players in scoring (30.0 ppg) while handing out 8.5 assists, good for sixth in the league, and pulling down 7.2 rebounds through 63 games.
James' teammate, Antawn Jamison, is not likely to play Friday after suffering a left knee injury against San Antonio.
"There's a good chance Antawn will not play [Friday] in Philly. A real good chance," Cavs head coach Mike Brown said during Thursday's practice.
